The Children’s Dyslexia Centers are nationally recognized for their dyslexia tutoring locations that provide intensive reading instruction for children in grades 1 through 12.
We are a dedicated organization of people who believe every child should have access to high-quality reading and writing instruction. We’re helping children to successfully meet the literacy demands in school and their future careers.
For more than 25 years, Scottish Rite Freemasonry of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction has partnered with local communities to assist children in regaining confidence and their self-esteem through proven methods of reading instruction, tutoring, and dyslexia remediation.

It all started with a goal.
“We want to help children overcome dyslexia.”
The Children’s Dyslexia Centers follow an Orton-Gillingham based, multisensory structured language education (MSLE) approach. Lessons incorporate techniques that simultaneously activate sensory pathways to help children understand the written word. Children are tutored one-on-one twice a week after regular school hours. This allows for the curriculum to be tailored to each individual child and progress is made in small, quantifiable steps.
Since our inception in 1994, we have changed lives forever with the help of professional staff, trainees, volunteers and friends.
